Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Engineer with a focus on Snowflake to join their Group Technology Team based in Singapore. This role offers the opportunity to design, develop, and optimize data warehouse solutions, integrating ETL processes using Microsoft tools into the Snowflake ecosystem.
What you'll do:
As a Data Engineer - Snowflake, you will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and optimizing data warehouse solutions. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the performance of the data warehouse to meet the reporting and analytical needs of the business. Your expertise in collaborating with internal and external integration specialists will be vital in identifying data requirements and co-designing data integration solutions. Your role will also involve consuming output datasets from various internal and external sources into Snowflake as processed using Microsoft tools such as Azure Data Factory and LogicApps.
- Design and manage data warehouse solutions in Snowflake ensuring data integrity, optimization, and security.
- Maintain and improve the performance of the data warehouse to meet the reporting and analytical needs of the business.
- Collaborate with internal and external integration specialists to identify data requirements and co-design data integration solutions.
- Consume output datasets from various internal and external sources into Snowflake as processed using Microsoft tools such as Azure Data Factory and LogicApps.
- Work closely with business units including finance, marketing, supply chain, and sales to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Maintain documentation for all data pipelines, transformations, and visualizations ensuring clarity and consistency for both technical teams and end-users.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Data Engineer - Snowflake position will bring a wealth of experience in data engineering with a specific focus on building and managing data warehouses in Snowflake. You should have hands-on experience building data-pipelines in Snowflake with SQL and/or Python, and a strong understanding of Data Governance in Snowflake including compliance, security, privacy and access. Your experience with ETL tools, particularly within the Microsoft stack (Azure Data Factory & Logic Apps), will be crucial to your success in this role. Additionally, your ability to build datasets to enable reports and dashboards using Power BI will be highly valued.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in data engineering with a focus on building and managing data warehouses in Snowflake.
- Experience building data-pipelines in Snowflake with SQL and/or Python.
- Experience with Data Governance in Snowflake including compliance, security, privacy and access.
- Experience with ETL tools with a focus on Snowflake Integration particularly within the Microsoft stack (Azure Data Factory & Logic Apps).
- Experience in building datasets to enable reports and dashboards using Power BI.
- Effective Communication Skills (Written & Verbal).
