The Country Sales Director will be responsible for overseeing all sales operations within Indonesia and driving the company’s growth strategy in the region. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the food packaging industry, a proven track record in sales leadership, and a passion for building long-term customer relationships. This role requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to execute plans that support business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy Development: Create and execute the country-specific sales strategy in alignment with the company’s global objectives. Drive revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities and optimizing existing customer relationships.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and potential customer needs. Leverage insights to adjust sales strategies and improve market positioning.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key customers and partners. Act as the senior point of contact for top-tier accounts and resolve complex customer inquiries.
- Budget and P&L Management: Oversee the sales budget for the country, ensuring effective allocation of resources to achieve the sales targets. Monitor financial performance and report on key metrics.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (including marketing, operations, and customer service) to ensure alignment and seamless execution of sales initiatives.
- Reporting: Regularly report on sales performance, forecasting, and market trends to the regional management team. Provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.
- Compliance & Industry Knowledge: Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and competitor activities. Ensure compliance with all relevant food packaging regulations and standards.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. A master’s degree or equivalent experience is a plus.
- Experience: At least 7-10 years of experience in sales, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role within the food packaging or related industries.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the food packaging market, including key players, trends, and regulations. Familiarity with sustainability initiatives in packaging is an advantage.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and develop sales teams. Strong coaching and mentoring skills with a focus on results.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in [local language] and English. Ability to interact with senior-level executives and clients.
