Junior Road and Drainage Engineer – Bangkok, Thailand
The Opportunity
Play a key part in producing the civil design and delivery of buildings, infrastructure, and civil projects internationally and locally. In this role, you will be working as part of an experienced team, where your input into civil engineering design (Earthworks, Pavements, Drainage, Site Preparation etc.), calculations, and delivery solutions, will be an important and valued component of the project delivery. Along this journey you will have support and career development, learning from Beca’s experts across multiple disciplines on a vast range of markets including buildings, roading, airports, rail, site development and related infrastructure.
You will be also working across Beca offices and project sites with a focus on ensuring great project outcomes and delivery for our clients while solving complex technical, site and project challenges. As well as refining, developing, and building your technical civil engineering abilities, you will also have scope to build your project delivery, commercial, and team related skills. Your ability to build relationships will be important, especially working across diverse project teams, and with others based in different Beca offices.
Beca Thailand
Based in Bangkok, our Thailand team of multidisciplinary engineers and consultants work on projects locally and internationally across multiple markets including Buildings and Transport and Infrastructure. From delivering the striking Bank of Thailand Learning Center in central Bangkok, the One Bangkok precinct - Thailand's largest building project to date and the Green Spot Soy Milk Plant northeast of the capital, these are just a few of the ways we’ve been making everyday better in Thailand for the last 25+ years. From this proven track record, we are continuing to grow in new and exciting areas.
What We’ll Like About You
- Bachelor’s degree ( especially Road and Water resources engineer ).
- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work collaboratively with a team of engineers and designers (locally and internationally)
- Competent user of 3D civil design software (Civil 3D or 12d) and AutoCAD and self-sufficient in undertaking engineering activities and managing timeframes to deliver successful designs.
- Effective English communication skills, especially verbal.
- Ideally you will have experience in land development and/or buildings/industrial civil projects.
- Ability to create sketches and work with our drafting team to develop technical drawings and documentation.
- Enthusiasm and motivation to continue to learn from your peers and more senior members of the team, whilst assisting other members of the team with their growth and development, such as our new graduate engineers.
- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work collaboratively with a team of engineers and designers (locally and internationally) to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Experience working in a consulting environment delivering projects as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Experience working across multi-office project team is a benefit.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other team members and stakeholders.
