An exciting Purchasing/Merchandising Manager - Fresh (x 1 vacancy) job has just become available at one of the growing own brand portfolio, retail based in Bangkok. Reporting directly to the Head of Own Brand, this is a role for a merchandiser who is a leader in their field.
What you'll do:
As a Purchasing/Merchandising Manager in our Fresh Produce department, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing purchasing strategies. Your expertise in sourcing within the Fresh CAT sector will be invaluable as you manage supplier relationships, conduct market research, and evaluate vendor offers. You'll also work closely with our warehouse staff to ensure proper storage of fresh produce.
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies for fresh produce
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts, prices, timelines, etc.
- Conduct market research to identify pricing trends
- Evaluate offers from vendors and negotiate better prices
- Prepare cost analyses and set appropriate benchmarks
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Purchasing/Merchandising Manager role will bring proven experience from a similar role within the Fresh CAT sector.
