The Position
This position has overall accountability to provide technical support to manufacturing operations for make, assess and release which includes monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot issues related to either fermentation/cell culture or protein purification processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Comply with all RSTO's Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) requirements, never put oneself and others at safety & health risks, and report any workplace accidents, near misses and hazards as soon as practicable.
Work effectively as part of a team responsible for ensuring successful and efficient processes for the production of recombinant proteins.
Provide ongoing technical and scientific support for the unit operations utilized in the manufacture of these products.
Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot issues related to either fermentation/cell culture or protein purification processes.
Support the technology transfer of new products/processes to RSTO or CMOs.
Create, review, revise and approve technical reports and engineering documents such as URS, FS, SDS, P&lD, etc.
Create, review, and revise cGMP documents such as production batch records, SOPs, etc.
Create and assess change records.
Develop training material and conduct training for production and technical staff.
Identify and implement corrective actions, preventative actions, and continuous improvement for process and equipment improvements.
Qualifications (education/experience/knowledge/skills/competencies):
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Bioprocess, Pharmaceutical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemical, or related fields) or equivalent experience.
Knowledge of safety principles, quality systems, and cGMP.
Relevant work experience in a lab, pilot plant, or large-scale protein production processes and equipment.
Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and the flexibility to support operations in accordance with the manufacturing schedule.
Must be highly motivated, be able to work independently as well as in a team and have good organizational and oral and written communication skills.
Must be willing to work at Singapore Tuas Bay Link.
Must be able to commit for full time internship only (Monday to Friday).
