Our client is seeking a highly competent Finance Lead to join their team in Singapore. This role offers an attractive salary range of SGD100,000 to SGD135,000. The successful candidate will have the overall responsibility to ensure compliance with finance reporting requirements and general ledger accounting aspects for US GAAP and local GAAP. This role also involves preparing preliminary tax computations, liaising with external tax advisors, and coordinating responses in case of audits by tax authorities. What you'll do:
As a Finance Lead, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our client's financial department. You will supervise monthly and quarterly closing activities, act as the main point of contact for finance-related matters in Singapore, and prepare all specific Local GAAP entries. Your responsibilities will also include coordinating the statutory audit process, assisting with US GAAP audits, preparing tax computations and reserves in partnership with an external tax advisor, ensuring all relevant reporting is completed accurately and on time, and developing and sharing best practices within the team.
- Supervise monthly and quarterly closing activities and entries for Singapore entity
- Act as the main point of contact for finance in Singapore
- Prepare and post all specific Local GAAP entries
- Coordinate the statutory audit process and assist with US GAAP audit
- Prepare tax computation and reserves in partnership with external tax advisor
- Ensure all relevant reporting are made
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Finance Lead position will bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the role. You should hold a Bachelor's Degree or above in finance or accounting, coupled with a minimum of 10 years' experience in financial processes. A solid understanding of accounting, treasury, internal controls, financial systems and processes is essential. Experience managing multi-national accounting operations would be advantageous. Knowledge of SAP and office systems is required.
