Role:
The Accountant (AR) is a vital role in ensuring the financial health and compliance of Primal by maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts receivable (AR), and performing reconciliations. This position reports to the Accounting Manager and will play a crucial part in supporting the company’s day-to-day financial operations.

Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable (AR):
- Process sales invoices, credit notes, and journal entries to ensure all business transactions are accurately recorded.
- Update accounts receivable and perform reconciliations.
- Manage and maintain the circle billing process to ensure timely invoicing.
- Review AR aging reports to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Monitor and research customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities.
- Resolve payment discrepancies by examining customer payment plans, payment history, and credit lines, coordinating with the collections team as needed.
- Maintain an aged debtor report and follow up with clients with outstanding balances.
- Track AR receipts and prepare Tax Invoice Reports, Output VAT Reports, and reconciliations.
- Assemble Prepaid Withholding Tax (WHT) Corporate tax reports and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are accurately recorded.
- Support accounts payable (AP) functions, as needed, to perform reconciliations and maintain financial accuracy.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned to support the Accounting Department.
Results:
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Proactively resolve payment discrepancies and maintain an accurate aged debtor report.
- Deliver accurate reconciliations and tax reports to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Process invoices and journal entries efficiently to ensure the timeliness of financial transactions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with internal teams and clients.
