Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Customer Development Manager to join their team in Singapore. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop deep customer understanding, drive business results, and create competitive advantages.
What you'll do:
As a Customer Development Manager, you will meet customers regularly, build support for the business, and establish relationships based on understanding the customers' strategy, priorities, and needs. You will translate these into superior customer plans. Your role will involve using analytics to drive fact-based conversations and effective negotiations. You will provide insights to RM/SDM and collaborate with relevant parties to develop improvement plans or programs. Regular store visits will be part of your routine, during which you will propose sales orders, check for correct product assortment, monitor sales and distribution performance, and coordinate with distributor representatives on execution of business plans.
- Develop deep understanding of customers to drive business results
- Build engagement with customers to gain commitment to a joint business plan
- Effectively manage trade spending and ensure meaningful ROI
- Coordinate with distributor's sales force/merchandising team to implement 5Ps with excellence
- Use analytics to drive fact-based conversations and effective negotiations
- Provide insights and work with relevant parties to develop improvement plans/programs
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Customer Development Manager position brings a wealth of experience in Modern Trade and omnichannel management. You are a self-starter who can work well both independently and across multi-level stakeholder groups. Your strong cross-functional collaboration skills enable you to drive executional excellence and deliver business results. With your commercial understanding and analytical skills, you can adapt quickly to changes in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Google suite of products is essential for this role, as is proven ability in data analysis.
- Holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field (marketing, business, communications)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Modern Trade and omnichannel management
- Ability to work well both independently and across multi-level stakeholder groups
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
- Strong commercial understanding and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Google suite of products (especially in Sheets, Docs & Slides)
- Proven ability in data analysis
